A short list of elements that make a wedding awesome:

♥ Cool people. Sarah & Watson are smart, fun, and funny, it shows in their family backgrounds when you meet their parents and other family members, and they've surrounded themselves with a group of awesome like-minded individuals.
♥ Amazing setting. The 21C is one of my favorite venues in Durham, from the gorgeous neutral-toned guest rooms to the galleries, from the oak-paneled ballroom with its ringing tile floors to the ever-cool vault.
♥ Rad vendors. Not to brag, since I'm on this list, but under the expert direction of Stephanie Milosh of Beauty & the Budget Events, Sarah & Watson assembled a kickass vendor team who made the day look, feel, and sound amazing. A team of vendors who work well together makes a big difference, y'all!

Much, much more can go into a successful wedding day (good food, available chairs, water, easily accessible bathrooms, lack of mosquitos...), but whatever it takes to make a great day, Sarah & Watson had. The whole day was imbued with their playful spirit (remember their bowling engagement session?): from a First Look full of smiles to a ceremony full of tearful giggles, to a game table at the reception and a joint toast by all their parents, the day had a joyful, delightful flair that it takes a particular kind of couple to pull off.

We are so thrilled to have been able to capture this day for Sarah & Watson, to have had yet another opportunity to work with some of our favorite local wedding vendors, and to be bringing this preview to you.
