The Seligs | Tybee Island Family Photography
Session: 24 July 2019 | Posted: 30 October 2019
Some photos we take are just more important than others. You know the ones I'm talking about: your grandma dancing at your wedding, engagement photos in your first home, the wedding ring you lost on your honeymoon.
No offense to any of our incredible clients, but these photos are, to me, some of the most important we have ever taken. Because this is us: our family. This is my parents laughing together on the beach. This is our nephew and our son cheers-ing with lollipops and digging in the sand. This is my husband tossing our son high into the sky. This is a big piece of my heart.
Aside from everyone's presence, the only thing my mom requested of our time on family vacation in Tybee Island was an actual photo session all together. This was the first time the current iteration of our family was all in one spot—and, as it turned out, the last time for this version, too, as my sister-in-law was actually sneakily five months pregnant at the time! (And as of this writing, my new nephew could be born any day so ahhhh!)
Needless to say, our tripod, self-timer, patience, and preparation (yes, of course I made an actual shot list) all combined to make it happen. These photos are so precious to me, and I am so honored to have had the chance to make them. Enjoy a selection of our favorites below!
