Rachael & Sarah | Downtown Durham Engagement Photography

First things first: Rachael and Sarah are awesome, such a vibe, and so incredibly adorable together that I had to do basically no work posing them throughout our session. It helped that we had a clear route planned, a fun activity stop (ice cream!), gorgeous weather, and a fantastic sunset view; even absent all of that, though, these two would have made my job super easy.
We came together in somewhat unusual circumstances: their original wedding photographers are having a baby right around their wedding date! Very exciting for them, sort of a bummer initially for Rachael & Sarah, but a bonus for me: I get to work with this awesome couple and shoot a wedding at a venue I've never visited. After our engagement session, I'm even more excited. Not only did we have a great time wandering around downtown Durham, Rachael & Sarah shared a few wedding details with me throughout the session--like their dresses, processional song, first dance song, info about the custom beer they're brewing--that all serve to hype me up for their May wedding.
