It seems to happen less and less frequently the longer we call the Triangle home, but I love discovering local places I've never been before. Laura & Jake's sweet late summer engagement session dropped me right in the deep end of new spots—although, not to worry: not literally. Maynard Pond is a delightful little locale right in their neighborhood: a place where they walk their dog, Fisher, every day, a place they drive past and enjoy together. Thoughtful aspects like that elevate what would otherwise have been simply a very pretty engagement session to something personally meaningful. After the Pond (and, of course, a wardrobe change), we followed a favorite route of theirs through downtown Cary, hitting some delightful spots—murals, fairy lights, and brick work, oh my!—on our way through.
