Oh, hey, have we ever mentioned in the actual blog itself how much we love color and chilling in your favorite places and couples who are just themselves, fully and honestly? No? Well, allow me:

We really love color, and chilling in your favorite places, and couples who are authentically, honestly themselves.

Enter Martha & Kush! They're married! They got married last year, not long before moving to Durham together. They didn't have Official Wedding Photos done at the time and since we had met through my wonderful wedding planner friend Heather at Paisley & Pearl Events, who was helping them plan a fun and colorful Durham wedding reception (stay tuned for more on that!), we decided to use what would usually be an engagement session as newlywed photos! They donned the gorgeous outfits they chose for their reception, grabbed some fresh and colorful florals from my delightful friend Erica of Folie à Deux Events, picked a few favorite spots in Durham, and got down to the business of being delightful and in love.

Their favorites  also happen to be among my favorites: you can never go wrong with Cocoa Cinnamon, Geer Street Garden's biergarten / patio is one of my favorite outdoor eating areas in Durham, and Durham Central Park is...well, iconic! Plus it's a great place to throw a frisbee, particularly if Ultimate figures heavily in your relationship...

Martha & Kush let me make some of my favorite kind of images, both the relaxed lifestyle shots from this session and the colorful and energetic ones from their wedding reception, and I love them for it!
