Emily | William Peace University Bridal Portraits
Session: 12 February 2019 | Posted: 31 March 2019
We plan most of our sessions around the best light of the day, golden hour, the roughly two hours before sunset. Sometimes the weather—and especially the weather in winter—just looks at our plans and says, "Ha! Yeah, right!" and rains and drips and drizzles and is generally gross. Such was the case on the day of Emily's bridal session. Engagements, I can often reschedule, but bridals are trickier as they involve multiple people's schedules, often site reservations, just lots of moving pieces.
So, as we did with Emily's bridal session, we make do with what we can and just get creative. Fortunately, being that she wanted to shoot at her alma mater, William Peace University, we had lots of indoor options and versatility. She and her love James will be getting married in Dinwiddie Chapel, where we began, at the end of March, and he actually proposed to her on the balcony on which we conducted much of the session! Because we had unconventional conditions, I broke out some new toys and got to play, and had a lot of fun creating what I think are some awesome images for her. (Big ups to Atmosphere Aerosol for the ambience!)
I can't wait to share some of the images from Emily & James's wedding, but while you're waiting for those, enjoy a selection of my favorites from her bridal session, and congratulate her in the comments below!
