Grace & Davion | Colorful & Fun Wedding Reception at the Borden Building

There's a theory that much of delight stems from deferral—the longer you have to wait, the more you'll enjoy something. Potentially, then, Grace & Davion should have had the world's biggest blast at their wedding reception—it was also a first anniversary celebration, as they held it a full year after they exchanged vows. I'm not sure whether Grace & Davion would support the deferral theory, but Grace did say, as we were finishing family portraits this year, that she couldn't imagine how people handle doing all the "normal" parts of a wedding in just one day. So to the rest of you waiting on your COVID-deferred celebrations: there's hope!

As full of sweetness and emotion as their ceremony day was last year, this celebration smacked of a lot of relief: everyone vaccinated, everyone ready to celebrate the love of two delightful humans whose union was a long time coming. The entire atmosphere was energetic and fun: cake, bubbly drinks, bold florals, and some tight dance moves.

We loved capturing this incredible party, and have been so honored to be part of Grace & Davion's story over the last couple years.
