Curt & Katherine | Intimate Museum of Natural Sciences Wedding in Raleigh

Weddings don't get much more intimate than Curt & Katherine's——they planned a celebration for just the two of them and their immediate families at one of the most delightful spots in the heart of Raleigh: the Museum of Natural Sciences. Right between Curt's family in Charlotte and where the couple lives in Northern Virginia, full of dinosaurs...what could be more perfect?

Just Curt & Katherine together, all on their own, that's what! These two met 10 years ago while dancing West Coast Swing, but didn't actually get together until early COVID times. Having been good friends the entire intervening time, the transition was smooth, just like all their moves together. Katherine's incomparable poise and elegance and Curt's bright shining smile almost seem to mock all those past years of their acquaintance: if you thought those were good, just wait until you see what's ahead.

And so, the journey into the next decade——and beyond!——of their acquaintance and love began with a First Look on the grounds of the North Carolina State Capitol building, full of all the joy these two deserve. Their ceremony, soundtracked by ethereal harp music and officiated by Curt's brother-in-law Bryson, took place in some of the most perfect light imaginable; they joined their lives under an arch handcrafted for them by Curt's father and sister. Their intimate reception dinner, wrapped in dinosaur fossils and the glowing blue of late evening Carolina skies, allowed them to stay near their guests, enjoying their presence and exploring the myriad Museum amenities. All the sweetness of the night couldn't outshine the glow of Curt & Katherine's smiles as they got to join their families for the first time as a married couple.
