Cory & Emily | Lake Johnson & Downtown Cary Engagement Photography
Session: 12 March 2022 | Posted: 24 March 2022

Cory & Emily were torn between getting their engagement photos done sooner and waiting until foliage began to turn green. Since they have so many out of state family and friends on their guest list, we opted for sooner; in a way, the March weather stayed true to itself: it was fickle and inconvenient, cloudy and wicked cold for our session. Being that Cory & Emily are, like us, Northern transplants, it wasn't the most prohibitive experience, but it also...was not super comfortable. We took jacket breaks, did lots of snuggling, and, of course, had a couple glasses of wine at Chatham Street Wine Market in the middle of the session to help the warmth along.
Overall, we had a ton of fun hanging out despite the cold temps, and the awesome images make the cold feel totally worth it. We're excited for their Matthews House wedding coming up in October; until then, enjoy a scroll through a few of my favorites from their engagement session!
