Sara & Cole | Carolina Country Weddings Engagement
Session: 16 February 2019 | Posted: 25 February 2019
When Sara & I first got together, we talked about this monogram (monograph?) that contains every letter of the English alphabet and every Arabic numeral we use. She loved the elegance of it, that this one simple symbol contains every work of literature, every poem, every play, every song, ever created in the English language. And that's how I knew she was my people! She and Cole bonded over their love of literature, with the Bard himself and the epic American Shakespeare Center (which is a recreation of The Globe!) at the center, as well as their love of tabletop games and storytelling. Like I said: my people!
We are super excited to photograph their wedding at Carolina Country Weddings & Events this coming fall; I was even more excited to have the opportunity to tour the venue beforehand—rare for locations outside the Triangle!—as we headed out to Mt. Pleasant for their engagement session in mid-February. The overcast skies did nothing to diminish the beauty of the rolling hills and wide open spaces of this gorgeous location; Sara & Cole managed to keep it sweet and intimate within all this space, snuggling up against the cool breezes and making faces at each other. We're excited to head back in October! In the meantime, enjoy a selection of favorites from their engagement session, and send them some congratulations in the comments!
