Callie & Matt's Laid-Back Rigmor House Summer Celebration of Love
Wedding: 23 June 2018 | Posted: 31 August 2018
It feels a little pedestrian to talk about the weather, but holy geez, was it hot for Callie & Matt's June wedding at the Rigmor House in Chapel Hill. By the time their evening ceremony began, it was still 90°—such a good thing they got themselves some last-minute umbrellas for their guests' comfort. In defiance of the heat, they had a relaxed and gorgeous day. The subtle Swiss dot on Callie's dress added a touch of whimsy echoed in the baby's breath bouquets the bridesmaids carried; all their Carolina blue details brought their mutual love of UNC (where they met) to the wedding, and made the sweltering air seem a little cooler. Their ceremony was personal and sweet, conducted for them by Callie's uncle, and their confetti ceremony exit with classic dip is one of my all-time favorites. Their energy and love were infectious.
We got the chance to do sunset portraits—which turned into my favorites from the day—before the grand entrance of their surprise guest, Rameses, the UNC mascot! He pumped up the party and made for some great photo ops with Callie & Matt's guests. He was a big hit, but not as big of a hit as Callie & Matt themselves! We are so grateful to have captured this beautiful day for Callie & Matt—check out a selection of our favorites below, and congratulate them in the comments!
