Blythe & Eric | Eno River State Park Engagement Photography
Session: 28 April 2019 | Posted: 11 July 2019
Blythe & Eric are my favorite Quakers.
This is saying something, as one of towns I grew up in is called Quakertown. I can't say I actually knew many Quakers in my early days there, but still: Blythe & Eric are my favorites. They are avid cyclists, adventurous and kind-hearted; we share many common literary tastes; they have deeply inquiring minds; and they really like pie. (That last one is more for Michael than me, as I'm pretty solidly a cake—or, more accurately, frosting—person, but still.)
Plus: Blythe proposed to Eric with a rock, like a sweet (much taller...) penguin. Penguins are the best!
We went on a very small adventure through the Eno River State Park for their engagement session. This gorgeous suspension bridge is one of my favorite things in Durham. They climbed on some river rocks, had a little forest dance party, and we all went into the river together to close out our session. (I learned not too long after our session that there's a much better / safer wading spot at the previous parking lot, so...my bad, guys, sorry.)
I adored photographing them for their engagement and can't wait to revisit the fun for their Carolina Beach wedding this coming fall. Until then, enjoy a selection of my favorites from our session and wish them well in the comments below!
