Behind the Scenes: 2020

This is a weirder one than usual, folks.

Like everyone else, I can't help but state the obvious, apparently. Not only do we usually have a lot more weddings, we usually have a lot more of them together, which makes for a lot more behind-the-scenes action. Add in the lack of dance floors and the fact that I got pregnant halfway through the year, and our normal wedding day antics are definitely somewhat subdued. Nevertheless, there's still plenty to see here in what is usually one of my favorite posts of the year. We loved working with all our couples this year, loved seeing their resilience firsthand, and, as always, loved participating in the starts of their marriages and the next steps in their lives together. We hope 2021 brings a bit more variety, both in how we get to work and in the dresses that I can fit into. In the meantime, we'll be upgrading our lighting gear, practicing our behind-the-mask smizing, and sending you all as many positive and peaceful vibes as we can muster!

Oh, and lest I forget the wonderful vendor friends who appear in these behind-the-scenes shots: Josh & Nikki from The Digital Butler, Heather from Paisley & Pearl Events, Willis of Willis J Entertainment, Pastor Manly Palmer and Kevin of DJ KoolBeatz. And, sneaking in at the very end, not a vendor friend, but our very own little red-headed monster, Lindon, jumping in at the end of a family session with one of our favorite families!

We love you all and are grateful to continue to participate in your lives and your weddings, even in the midst of the wildest times any of us have ever known. Here's to brighter lights in the days to come.
