Kate & Tim's Rustic Country Wedding at the Barn at Valhalla

Wedding: 8 October 2016 | Posted: 20 February 2017

When planning any large event, it makes sense to account for the weather, create a back-up plan. We don't generally expect to account for a hurricane, though--especially not ~130 miles inland--but that's exactly what Kate and Time had to contend with for their October wedding. They had planned a sweet outdoor ceremony at The Barn at Valhalla, we had discussed photos in the gazebo and overlooking the lake--and all of this went out the window with the squalls of Hurricane Matthew.

Instead, Kate and Time were married in an intimate indoor ceremony in the lodge, we enjoyed some umbrella-sheltered photos, and the whole event had a together-in-adversity sort of feel, as everyone who attended had braved the weather to show their support and love for Kate & Tim.

I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to get to know this sweet couple, and hope you enjoy their images as much as I do. (Extra special props go out to the amazing Jennifer Haygood for second-shooting for me very last minute!) Share some love for them in the comments!
