Jenna & Patrick's Game-Filled, Pink and Orange Brunch Wedding at Fred Fletcher Park
Wedding: 11 October 2015 | Posted: 15 January 2016
Combining two things that are awesome on their own always breeds fantastic results: Chocolate and peanut butter. Dance parties and 90s music. Han Solo and Chewbacca. Macaroni and cheese. All amazing pairs. Chalk one up to Jenna and Patrick for adding a new one to our list of favorite pairs: Brunch plus weddings.
They had an omelet bar, folks. At their wedding. And a tower of Krispy Kreme donuts to supplement the mimosa cake--yes, champagne-flavored cake with orange icing!--Jenna and her dude of honor, Nate, made. And coffee bean favors! Brunch weddings should be way more of a thing than they are, because they are awesome and because breakfast food is the best kind of food. (Serious props go out to Rocky Top Catering for the amazing spread!) Since it was a gorgeous October day, Jenna, Patrick and their guests also got to play cornhole, bocce, and giant Jenga on the lawn to supplement the tables filled with games inside the beautiful Borden Building.
Speaking of awesome pairs, let's talk about Jenna and Patrick themselves for a second, shall we? The most important thing to them on their wedding day was spending time with all the people they care about who were there to support their marriage. Watching Jenna and Patrick flit around to all the various groups and conversations scattered around the venue--custom mimosas in one hand, of course, and their new spouse's spare hand in the other--and seeing them get to enjoy all the games and fun they planned warmed my little heart. Not to mention: How creative can these two be? Jenna created their awesome geometric bar backdrop, made their cake topper, painted the monogrammed cornhole boards, and hand-lettered the hella awesome chalkboard program. Incredible.
Jenna and Patrick, thank you both so much for having us as part of your awesome wedding celebration. It was a blast of a beautiful day, and we loved documenting it for you. We wish you both a lifetime of perpetual happiness!
